The Power of Child Sponsorship

My parents began sponsoring Marvin when he was very young, and at the time, he was completely nonverbal.

Mama Phoebe told us he used to sit in the road and cars would come and he wouldn't move. We were able to get him into a school that helped his development so much, and now he understands Lugandan and is able to communicate with friends.

When I was in Uganda a few weeks ago, they asked him to stand up in front of the congregation and announced that he is the first person at church every week. Getting to see him as a faithful member of his church and a consistent part of a community that loves him was such a beautiful moment.

The Lord is persistent in the growth and wellbeing of his children. Because of beautiful stories like Marvin's, my sisters and I have started sponsoring our own children, and praying that the Lord continues to do amazing things through them.
