A Home Visit and a Heart Encounter
Visiting Uganda was truly an amazing experience.
Our hosts, Peter and Phoebe, were outstanding and never stopped making us feel like we were truly at home. I can speak to so many incredible encounters that we had but one that absolutely blessed me and felt like a true GOD thing was during a home visit.
On our first full day in Uganda, we visited some homes of families that have children sponsored through Divine Care Ministries. At one stop we visited a lady who shared her testimony about how she only completed Primary 2 and how she wanted more for her children. She spoke about how her daughter got pregnant before she knew it was possible for a child to be pregnant (primary 8). She said she felt sure that her daughter wasn’t going to be allowed back to school but with her cooperation in helping raise the baby and the graciousness of the program, she was able to return. Divine Care Ministries is doing amazing things but seeing it and hearing about this ministry being the true hands and feet of Christ was incredible. This mother was BLESSED by the grace shown to her and her family and in turn, is blessing those around her with what God has given her. Pastor Peter spoke many times about blessing others with what God had blessed us with and this is EXACTLY what this ministry is doing. I can’t wait to go back!
